Fading

Every day I will fade away

the memory of me will be moving from

what are they up to

to are they alive still

to who is that now

like the early dawn mist

dissolved with the rising of the sun

the world will go on after me as it did before

no questions ask about me

no holes or marks where I was

I will never be found by some far off person

in the annals of history

crying out we are humans

even as things change part of us remains

all the time whispering you aren't alone

no I will be lost never to be found

faded away forever gone

even as the sun has risen for the world I have faded from it
