How can you fix the problem of people being "allowed to believe things that weren't true"?

How can't you fix the problem of people being "allowed to believe things that weren't true"? Taking no accountability for their own actions. It can't be their fault they are to mentally unfit to take responsibility for their own actions it's who ever "allowed" them "to believe things that weren't true" fault. People can't expect them to have basic critical thinking skills.
